The Peterson Picture Gallery of Art will be hosting a catered open house Thursday, October 2nd from 4 - 8 p.m. with hors d'oeuvres, drinks and a live artist demonstration by Steven Fisher.

Steven will be creating an original painting, inspired by Chicago street scenes and architectural landmarks, which will be raffled off during the event. The gallery will also host a cheese and wine tasting on Friday, October 3rd from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. The raffle will occur later the same evening, at 6 p.m.

The Chicago Market, a premier quarterly gift and home accessory tradeshow, is a dynamic destination where manufacturers unveil state-of-the-art designs and launch new product lines. Peterson Picture Co. and Art-Impact are proud to announce the opening of our new showroom in the Chicago Merchandise Mart. This art gallery and display area is located on the 15th floor, which is also known as Market Square.

Market Square is a destination that features goods and services for interior designers, lifestyle retailers, home furnishings suppliers, and high-end decorative accessory merchants. We are adding a new element to this industry specific sales-floor by opening our fine art gallery, featuring the artwork of Art-Impact participants. 

This space, suite #1583, will offer exciting new opportunities for artists to show and sell their artwork. Professional art-buyers are invited to view selected works in the gallery, while our professional art-consultants will be working to promote artwork on the Web site to an array of new markets and clientele.

In order to give the gallery a fresh and current appearance, we will continuously rotate the featured artwork on display. We have plans to promote as many artists as possible, and we anticipate a high-level of interest in all of our new gallery endeavors.

The Merchandise Mart, Chicago. 8th floor.

The Artist Project is Artropolis's key event dedicated to the independent artist. The second annual exhibition and sale will feature original work from a juried selection of 300 established and emerging artists who are currently unaffiliated within the gallery community.
